Building Through PHN

Professional development refers to a variety of different educational experiences related to an individual's work. It is important to participate in professional development activities to learn and apply new knowledge and skills that will improve job performance. Formal professional development includes conferences, seminars, workshops, collaborative learning, and courses. However, informal professional development is also important and includes discussions among colleagues, independent reading and research, observations of a colleague's work, and learning from a peer. The PHN Professional Development Committee works hard to provide an array of professional development activities to help improve job performance and build career development.
